Israeli-Gaza Ceasefire-Hostage Deal Reached

Thankfully, nine months later, the Israeli and Hamas governments recently implemented a similar agreement to the MagPro Palestine/Israeli/Irani Short-term Peace Agreement presented on April 19, 2024. The Israeli-Gaza Ceasefire-Hostage Deal began on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Praise God that this happened.

After 15 months of captivity, the first three Israeli hostages released were 24-year-old Romi Gonen, 31-year-old Doron Steinbrecher, and 28-year-old Emily Damari. The Hamas-led Gazan hostage-takers apprehended Gonen from a Nova music festival, and Steinbrecher and Demari were taken hostage from a kibbutz in an Israeli settlement. Shortly after their emancipation, the Israeli government released 90 Palestinian prisoners and detainees.

Further deal implementation has been ongoing. Both sides seem committed to continuing the schedule.
